It is impossible to get mercury into oil. really. it is. Interestingly though there are still “reports” like this one to muddy the waters and confuse people…
Notice how they talk about mercury in the different FISH species (true) but then fail to mention actual content of mercury in the fish oil product? What the…? Another example of really sub par reporting. It doesn’t matter what fish is used, Mercury will not go into oil.
The part about checking for EPA-DHA is legit but they failed to truly inform by mentioning how DHA is the more important of these due to our bodies ability to synthesize EPA when adequate DHA is present.
Hope everyone is doing well with the challenge some folks including myself are already noticing results after 1 week!! Stay on it… the st. patt’y day challenge finale is march 20 and that will be here before you know it!

Be sure to post your food logs to the correct day to get your points for said food logs. Only post them to the posts titled “day #” …# = 1, 2, 3, etc.
I am uber excited for all the progress you folks will be making for the next few weeks. Keep on keeping on!
If you are involved in our “St. Patty’s day challenge” and you do some calculated exercise (i.e. crossfit, mile walk) EVERY day, then you will get a point in that category called “workout/rest day learning”. I don’t recommend the workout daily regimen to anyone long term though but rather work smarter AND harder for better results.
Anything reading pertinent to health and wellness will score you your point for the category. This brings us to the largely underutilized, required reading list for all athletes at Lifesport Fitness…

Also, we have had a huge response to the St. Paddy’s day challenge. Sorry, its for members only this time around… At least officially.

Especially in medicine you can count on good old-fashioned corporate greed to screw most people - these days few things in America are so predictable. I firmly believe in the ability of fitness to enhance and improve ones quality of life. If you want to be healthy, its up to you. . . you must be proactive. Sadly, there are still many folks out there who apparently think medical science will save them from their inability to change a few simple habits...slaves to the system that to me these days - knowing what i know, have more in common with cattle than with what it means to live as truly dignified human beings...Just unwittingly eating whatever is put in front of them choosing a less-than-optimal lifestyle; Not living strong but simply waiting to be dead. *sigh* Cattle.
Dont get me started :)
Each person must find something they LOVE. That thing or things will motivate. My motivation is being a shining example for my sons (pics) and those hearty people who honor me by entrusting me with some of their health and wellness (other pics). We are assembling a great group!
To whomever wants to join our St. Paddy’s day challenge: sign-up with your $20 noon saturday the FEB 19th. More details below… Here is one of the better CrossFit promo’s I have seen…

Everyone is cancelling so it appears the empowering of others is temporaily on hold (until this afternoon anyway) …an oppurtunity to finish reading “the 4-hour body” by Tim Ferriss
...then it sounds like a great oppurtunity to try a new paleo recipe from one of our paleo cookbooks available on this website or any number of other myriad paleo-friendly sites.
