Set my goals today for Labor Day. Drum Roll please………. By labor day I will be able to stretch down and touch my toes. Sounds stupid to most but I haven’t been able too in years. I will also bench press 300 lbs, now that will be a true achievement considering I couldn’t bench 200 lbs in high school.
Daily Checklist Summary
I only accomplished 40 % today. I will try and improve for tomorrow. My nutrition was better today but I still slacked not even good enough to convert to zone measurements.

Good job, Phil -- a little better every day and before you know it you will be close to 100%.
ReplyDelete(Don't be so hard on yourself!)
I managed 80% today, up to 2 servings of veg and only one serving of fruit.
Yeah Phil too much negative self-talk, bro... i know you intend it as light-hearted but words/thoughts can and usually do become reality...so choose them carefully. I suggest you call this "Phil's progress corner". What we do everyday is far too important and positive to surrender to such negative words. I personally think you rock and am proud to have you in the tribe! 8D
ReplyDeleteAnd now for my food... did great until the visit to the parents in the evening where they had these huge blueberries! Didn't gorge but over did it a little and felt a little full as it was on the tail end of a kielbasa and sauerkraut (heavy on the wonderfully probiotic Kraut; forget yogurt and dairy!) That full feeling is to be avoided as it is itself a stressor which will increase cortisol. I have shifted my fat sources and begun getting dietary fat exclusively from coconut milk, fish oil, olive oil, organic avocado, and whatever small amounts are in the meat. Will do my own checklist next week!
...or perhaps "Phil's kick-ass corner"?
ReplyDeleteNot all of us can be as saintly and astute as John!
Mmmmm ... blueberries ... grrglgrrrrgllgrrgll.
ReplyDelete80% again for John today. Go Phil! Go Todd!
