    L- half banana with homemade almond butter (roasted almonds, pureed almond solids and coconut oil)/almond milk (almonds, dates and water)

  62. Im going to preface this entry by saying that yesterday I must have uncle bernied the whole day because what you are about to see is hilarious and shameful...

    B- sugar sprinkled lemon poppy seed muffin. (Good start) black coffee...with non dairy powdered creamer.

    S- 1 banana

    L- turkey, lettuce, tomato and pineapple..wouldnt be anything without a slice of swiss cheese..

    Drank a green tea..with honey.

    D- thought at this point I might as well go all out and had a bloody mary with my beef brisket foccacia, a side salad, cup of pumpkin soup and a side of coleslaw...yeeeeea.

    I read from my obesity and nutrition text book and I emptied and moved a storage unit up 3 flights of stairs so I'm going to go ahead and say that was a workout because I'm sore as shit from it and I used crossfit knowledge to move things.

  83. Oh and exercise. On 9-23, I did Cindy and felt good about it. From 9-24 to 9-26 my arms were completely immobilized. I guess I really overdid that without realizing it at the time. They were stiff the next day, and really really painfully stiff the second day. On the third day I literally couldn't even bend them more than 90 degrees. Which means I couldn't touch my face, take my shirt off, brush my teeth or feed myself. Yes, I felt pretty dang pathetic (I did manage to do all those things, in case you were wondering, but it was really hard and awkward. Luckily no one seemed to notice in real life.). I actually thought about going to urgent care one morning because all the rhabdo chatter was starting to freak me out, picturing my poor ruptured muscle cells and struggling kidneys. But I'm poor and my pee was clear thanks to all this water drinking haha, so I decided to suck it up one more day and, behold!, started to be able to move again. Thank god. So that's why you haven't seen me. I'm sorry.

    On 9-27 I took pity on my poor boyfriend who I never see and went out to dinner with his sister and her boyfriend instead of going to crossfit because he asked really nicely. Also to celebrate my arms no longer being broken and not push it and relapse by trying to work them out too soon haha. I don't think I could have lifted a single bar.

    On 9-28. I should have come to the cookout (sorry Tracy!) but I had way to much to do in too short of time and couldn't come up with a scenario where I could go and still get it all done. So I sadly skipped. Instead, I carried a bunch of crap up and down three flights of stairs, including a huge box of cat litter and cat food. Jeez cat. I didn't count it as as workout on the form, but I probably should have.

    On 9-29, I ran the 5K Race for the Cure. Also elbowgrease-cleaned multi-year-old stains at my old apartment (moving out). Wiped.

    3: Apple pie a la mode (this was mile 85 and I needed some fast sugar as I was hitting the wall. Fruit alone was not cutting it.)

    I had to consume 2 GU's on the ride to keep energy supply up. Rest stops only offered fruit, fig newtons, pre-packaged pb&j sandwiches, cookies, bagels, peanut butter.

    L: gyro salad w/ tzatzki sauce (This seamed like an O.K. choice (other than the yogurt based sauce) but after the fact I found out they use a commercially bought gyro meat which likely has additives of some sort like MSG. Bummer. As an interesting side note that borders on TMI --- I was kind of burpy for the rest of the afternoon which doesn't typically happen anymore while eating pretty strict paleo.)

    I will preface this entry with this was a known cheat meal going into this challenge. That said, I only had a very limited sampling of each hors d'ouevre.... Stomach doesn't feel very good regardless...yet I felt obligated since I was hosting the event tonight.

    B: eggs, uncured, nitrate free bacon, 1/2 grapefruit
    L: hamburger, avocado, grilled peppers & onions, lettuce red pepper aioli
    D: meatballs, raw veggies, cocktail shrimp, stuffed mushroom, cheese, small piece of cake and mini cream puff. 2 glasses of wine.

    So I'm minus sugar, good fat, grains, dairy and processed foods. Still a big improvement over what I consumed at this event last year. I'm not going to beat myself up over it.
