Now Under New Ownership

Hello everyone!! I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself and thank you for giving me the chance to carry on Todd’s legacy of CrossFit LifeSport.
First, I would like to give you a little background on who I am and what I hope to contribute to your community. I recently retired from the U.S. NAVY after 20 honorable years in the submarine force. Most of my career I was stationed in Ct and a few years in Va Beach where I met my wife Beth of 17 years. Together we have 2 teenage boys ages 14 and 16.
Almost four years ago I was introduced to CrossFit by a friend. Like many of you, it didn’t take me but one WOD to become hooked! Six months later I got my CFL1 and started coaching at my local box (CrossFit Payback). I learned early on that I was never going to be lifting the heaviest weights in the gym (mostly because I never lifted a barbell until I was 35), so I set out on a goal to be the most technical. I am not a perfect lifter or a perfect coach, but I work to be every day and I hope that will mean PR’s and improved fitness for you. Your goals are just as important to mine and I truly feel that together, we will get you there!
When the opportunity came up to take over LifeSport, I knew that there would be some uncertainty mostly because I am the new guy and none of you know me. I can assure you that I am not here to make LifeSport “better” because I think Todd is an outstanding coach and person. Some things may be different but hopefully you will be happy. My wife and I are very big on the community and have some pretty cool things and events planned for you. At the end of the day, we want you to feel like it is YOUR box and we merely make it flow and pay the bills!

I have already told the landlord my goal is to bust down that plywood wall by the 4th of July and with your help, we will make it happen. Hope to see you all in the box soon!

You don't have to be in shape for CrossFit; that's what we do!  In fact, the sooner you begin the better off you'll be-it'll give you less time to develop bad habits and therefore easier to install new,  good habits. We are very adaptable, train anyone and everyone, have a LONG referral list of successes and are very welcoming of people who share our interest in bettering themselves with fitness.

Paleo grubdowns, stronger people and new faces

Monthly Paleo grubdowns are on hiatus for September as back to school month has our Paleo chef extraordinaire/high school teacher all tied up. They will begin again the first Monday of October. If you are interested in learning how to cook healthy and you are interested in a great dinner with some fun people, come on in and say "hello"!  (Members 8$, non-members 12$)   
  Congrats to Brandon on life sports first 200# snatch!
